When your symptoms or pain cannot be managed in the homecare setting, and you do not wish to receive care at home, VITAS can provide a higher level of specialized care in our Inpatient Care Unit. The inpatient hospice unit is calmer and more homelike. Staff members move at an unhurried pace, often taking time talk with the patient, visit with the family, and answer questions.
